  They need to make sure their publishers are spiritual or give them the boot. The WTS NEEDS the monthly report to keep the congregation clean of slackers who could give a bad example to the rest of the flock.

  I must say that they don't annoy me that much concerning non reporting. About one year ago I told the elder on the phone that preaching one hour a month was equal to not preaching at all and that he could just as well count me as inactive, that's what he did and it was the end of it. I turn up to WE meetings with my wife once a week, they seem happy to see me, we shake hands and they leave me in peace, they don't hound me, never raise any question about resuming preaching. Q-U-I-E-T.

  Enjoy sleepless nights ahead (advice to Mrs Derek, sleep on the side of the bed against the wall), but many satisfactions too, giving the bottle at night will build up relationship with baby Derek.

  What I find really heartwarming is the fact that the US brothers and sisters still compose a hefty 1/7 of the total number of those who will pass A. God bless America.

  people are born on this planet at a faster rate than the JWs could ever keep up with to preach to.

  That's what I told the circuit overseer about 2 years ago : Let's admit Jesus' sacrifice was necessary to provide salvation to those who would exercise faith, and jehovah had to wait until then before stepping in to straighten things up. To put things in the worst case, He would have destroyed, say 200 million mecreants 2000 years ago. Now, just because He has to prove his point, He would have to destroy 7 billion people minus 7 M JWs...And Those ones keep quoting Peter 3 :9 'Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise but he is patient because he doesn't desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance'. Everybody can see that this reasoning doesn't make sense, still they keep on repeating it like parrots. CO replied : there's no answer to that question.

  I would hate looking paranoid but I'm stricken by the regularity of such examples like Achan and Ananias given by the WTS at that time of the year, when people in many countries think of giving to charities so as to deduct their donation from their annual taxable income. Such examples instil in JWs' minds a feeling of guilt and fear with the idea that they should give 'liberally and without holding back the moves of their hearts" for the advancement of the kingdom interests, or else incur deprivation of Jehovah's blessing, not to mention His wrath. Such articles mainly come out between september and december each year (submitted to Blondie's research and confirmation).

  Does it have no service report? No figures? Here is how the french KM puts it in the News from our ministry box : From now on, only outstanding aspects of our activity will appear in the present column. Therefore, the latter won't be systematically published every month. Then they report that between 2004 and sept 2008 the number of regular pioneers has risen from 4778 to 9001 and that for the 7th year on a row the total number of publishers has risen by 1%.   whatever cautious language they may use on this subject, as long as they compare the WT organization to the ark and let the listener draw the conclusion for himself, their stand is that only JWs will be saved.

  i think there are more former elders and servants than there are current.

  if you look in a hall, it's not uncommon to see 5 ex elders just going to the meetings, doing whatever little they can do.

  Even before I started roaming on JWD, I let elders know that I was not volunteering to be a MS again because during the time I had been one I had had to exercise too much self censorship, not being really convinced of what I had to say from the platform and I had felt quite uncomfortable about it. Interestingly, most of the elders I told this were understanding and sympathetic towards such qualms, as if they were feeling the same.
